Make sure you gas your car up before the ice storm. You will be glad you did. At least with a gassed-up vehicle, you can keep your phone or other electronic gadgets charged and use its heater to help stay warm.

If you have an iPhone 14 or newer, you can send texts via satellite when cell towers are down due to power outages and there's no Wi-Fi or cellular signal.
