Mind you, this same sham vote on status was boycotted, protested, & non-binding. Despite that, independence got its highest vote % in the history of Puerto Rico, a change that Americans will never highlight bc it doesn’t serve their interests; using minorities to consolidate their own grip on power
I don’t know if you saw this, but Puerto Rico had a status referendum this election and they voted for statehood.
I know things are bleak, but we should try to respect that, if at all possible.

Puerto Rico’s election day thus far has been plagued by the consequences of Bipartisan corruption & US Colonialism, starting with but not limited to: voting precincts that are mostly public schools losing electricity, unreliable voting machines & flooding from today’s heavy rains.
