It is so easy to just say, “we have to shut down fossil fuel production now.” You can’t (and won’t) shut down producing energy from fossil fuels until there is sufficient energy produced from other sources. What you are proposing is ~silly~ to put it nicely.

It is the other way around. If Trump began a 20-year sentence in 2023 then the public still could have voted him into office. Getting away with January 6th was contingent on winning in 2024.
