As long as he's OK with spending time in Russian jails, I see nothing wrong. Just don't appeal to your home country to make concessions bargaining for your freedom. Also don't complain in any manner when you're used on the geopolitical chessboard. Take all the lumps - consequences of your actions.

1. Just about every day, I read someone trot out a certain idea. They claim the problem of #affordability is due to #corporations buying housing. Thus, they say, the issue isn't supply, it is demand, and we don't need to build more housing.

I believe that when retiring politicians vote against what the leadership supposedly wants, the leadership doesn't really want the thing they claim. 2 of the necessary 8 betrayers who voted to end the #shutdown are retiring. I believe they would have done whatever the leadership asked them to do.

It isn't the #liberal community overreach that is the problem. It is the overreach combined with the arrogance of certainty, #cancellation, and #condescension. It is that combination that many find so insufferable. I think that is understandable.

1. I think the dumbest thing #Democrats could do right now is be too self-congratulatory and think that the time of their introspection is over. If we want to save #democracy, I think there needs to be a lot more time given to figuring out Democrats', both leadership and voters, in the rise of #MAGA

Hispanic voters in NJ made a strong swing back to Democrats. But rather than gloat about how MAGA will always betray them, which is true, Dems should still be asking "Why did they swing Republican in the first place?" and intently listening to the answer. I don't think we have.
