Yesterday in Redlands CA, a driver was recorded shouting "F*** the Jews" and firing 20 rounds into a thankfully-empty home decorated for Hanukkah. At Brown, a gunman fired into a study group, killing 2 and injuring 9 — the class was economics, but the prof also is Faculty Associate in Judaic studies

CA often gets blamed for high taxes as a driving factor (pun!) in gas prices, so here's a fun game... these photos were all taken today, on the same trip along the north end of (tourist-priced) Lake Tahoe (TC to IV): guess which are in CA and which in NV. Hint: CA gas tax is ~47¢ higher than NV
