The amount of hate the upcoming Hive Scum class in Darktide is getting because "it doesn't fit the tone of 40k" is really showing how many 40k fans know nothing about the setting beyond spess mahreens, bolters, and heresy memes (saying this as someone who was hoping for playable Admech)

Been playing Darktide again and realising how bizarre it is that the 40k universe is way more interesting when you're playing as a normal human with a gun than when you're a superpowered space knight in giant technicolour armour with a chainsaw sword the size of a man
