Maybe a trend of creating trans flag art is about to take off! 👀

It could be cool to knit the border. It would add some extra visual interest. I’m partial to a garter short row edging or pick up all sts and knit in the round. Good luck!

I’ve never used one. My technique is pretty haphazard and changes from sock to sock. It’s super satisfying when you can wear the sock again so it’s worth it. I may actually watch some others do it and try to pick up some more skill.

It was pretty good. 😊

I’m thinking sushi bowls and mushroom miso soup. 🤔

I think all my designs that are true to me and my art are mildly chaotic.

This neck line turned out beautifully!

this is such a beautiful compliment. you really understand what happened in the design process. i was worried about it leaning too femme because that wouldn't fit how i wanted to wear it. but, a delicate detail hear or there adds elegance which is genderless.

thanks! it felt like a chance for some visual interest but also to keep me from getting bored while knitting the yoke.

thanks!

I used to mend with the same yarn. But, it was definitely boring. This is much more fun and it shows what the socks have lived through already.

Lol that’s a new phrase for me. While I’m at it , I’m making changes to other knits that I don’t love. It’ll be like a new-ish wardrobe come fall.

Just in time for this sweater fresh off the blocking boards. Pattern was improvised using trial -error -more error -frogging. The shaping is so that I can wear it bra less if I choose. The cables make me happy. The yarn is onion dyed by @serendipitouswool.bsky.social . #knitsky

Sweater surgery is soooo fun and kinda scary lol.

Niceeeee. I’m reworking my Modcast. I frogged the body, the unplanned gathers really bugged me. Instead of casting on a new sweater I decided to fix that one. I’ll take a picture later.

sooo true. especially well worn ones.

for me, i like the flow of knitting without having markers hit my fingers or getting gripped in my palm. i feel like i can just zone out.

Done! For me traditional heel flaps are harder to darn. Also, when I knit my socks too short they wear in weird places. 🥴 That’s visible in some of the mends.

Glad I got this done before the cool weather arrives. There’s something truly special about sliding my feet into hand knit socks. #knitsky

I like to read my knitting. I don’t need a marker to tell me what to do and when because like …I’m looking at it. But, *cough* I’m not actually looking most of the time lol. I’m watching tv or looking out the window.

That’s so true dude. Cisgender people were taught we’re ‘normal and right’. Like humans existing in their bodies can be wrong. 😒 And Black folks are continuously portrayed as less human and expendable. The answer is really for us to *see* each other in our fullness.

There’s something really special about hearing the entire story the artist is trying to tell you from start to finish. Just cherry picking songs doesn’t allow for that.
August 28, 2025 at 4:35 AM
LOL! I also refuse stitch markers most of the time. And when I do use them I'm like 'wow! so convenient'.
