Was talking with my buddy's ten-year son about Magic when he proudly pointed out that since he got a tablet for his birthday, he can now play Magic Arena on the toilet.

Back in the day, dressing above your station was illegal (this is where the term 'dressing up' comes from). One was expected to look like what they were, and they could be fined or even beaten for violating this law. Makes for an easy way to raise the stakes on a stealth mission...

Sitting down for session 41 of Building a Nation! After several in-game months, the party is finally about to confront the wizard that betrayed them way back in session 2. The bad guy has minions and home field advantage; the party has pluck. We'll see how it goes!

Thinking very seriously about a one-shot in the setting of #OuterWorlds but I have no idea what system to run for it. Obviously I could do GURPS or Starfinder very easily, but for some reason neither of those systems are really exciting me in this context. Anyone have an idea?

Historically, a government's 'reach' was equivalent to roughly 2 week's travel; beyond that, messages simply took too long to travel for a king or emperor to retain control long-term. They didn't have teleportation magic, though, so your mileage may vary.
