BESSENT: We'll see. This is very serious. The prime minister of Ontario, who I imagine is smarting quite a bit from the Blue Jays loss, spent $75 million interfering in US public policy. A price has got to be paid for this.

While I don’t know if this was the greatest Series ever (recency bias and all that), I’m fairly confident you can put Yamamoto’s performance up with those of Smokey Joe Wood, Pete Alexander, Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson, Mickey Lolich, and Randy Johnson.

When I first saw Vladdy at 3rd in 2017, he made plays on balls he got to. With his hands, footwork, and baseball IQ, he’s a natural at 1st.

My son’s flight from Vancouver Thursday night was full of Jays fans.
Buffalo Bisons pitching coach Drew Hayes flew Air Canada from Nashville, and said the same thing.

Youngest son had a flight home to Vancouver at 9 am today, so luckily we didn’t have to worry about staying too long at the victory celebration.
We did have leftover birthday cake at home to console ourselves, however.
