I have no words. To be able to share this with my sons is incredible.
Just a reminder that there are 28 other fanbases that would be happy to feel what we’re feeling today.
Baseball first broke my heart in 1981.
It truly is a game of failure, which makes both the pinnacles and valleys of the sport that much more intense.
Obviously, Bessent is still smarting from Canada’s Four Nations hockey win.
BREAM: How do trade talks get back on with Canada?

BESSENT: We'll see. This is very serious. The prime minister of Ontario, who I imagine is smarting quite a bit from the Blue Jays loss, spent $75 million interfering in US public policy. A price has got to be paid for this.
While I don’t know if this was the greatest Series ever (recency bias and all that), I’m fairly confident you can put Yamamoto’s performance up with those of Smokey Joe Wood, Pete Alexander, Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson, Mickey Lolich, and Randy Johnson.
The Dodgers don’t win without him
You can’t pin last night’s loss on one player.
Quite frankly, I think Doug Ford owes all of Canada an apology for his Ring of Fire commercial.
Yesterday was probably the best day of my baseball life, so I can live with tonight.
Let’s hope it doesn’t take another 32 years to get back.
Ok, so now we can all focus our attention on the Leafs, right?
When I first saw Vladdy at 3rd in 2017, he made plays on balls he got to. With his hands, footwork, and baseball IQ, he’s a natural at 1st.
I learned this week that the Blue Jays pay for Spanish lessons for their staff.
My Blue Jays MiLB contact said when he saw Yesavage in spring training, he thought he could start at AAA.
I was going to write about Eric Pardinho in a newsletter today, but something came up.
My son’s flight from Vancouver Thursday night was full of Jays fans.
Buffalo Bisons pitching coach Drew Hayes flew Air Canada from Nashville, and said the same thing.

Cool.
Time to get Max out of there, Schneids.
Hit the ball hard, you win.

Unless it lodges in the outfield padding.
You don’t need to run when you hit them that far.
If Ohtani gets extra time to warm up, Jays should get a courtesy runner for Bo.
Tonight’s not the night to take borderline pitches.
Paul Molitor played the game the right way.

I’ve let Jays management know that I’m ready (front row centre) if they need me tonight.

Youngest son had a flight home to Vancouver at 9 am today, so luckily we didn’t have to worry about staying too long at the victory celebration.
We did have leftover birthday cake at home to console ourselves, however.

It’s always good to win the last baseball game of the season.
