I feel sympathy and anger that critical thinking is not being taught in the schools or in the home. This is intentional by the government but parents are abdicating their responsibility too.

I think that the general shittiness, and profound limits that The USA's capitalistic economy represents to the majority of citizens, fundamentally is the reason why many enrolled voters feel apathetic, defeated, unmotivated to vote, & thus DON'T actually show up to vote, even during major elections.
