Prosecuting a teenager seeking safety won't save lives. It won't stop smugglers from forcing vulnerable people to take all the risk while gangs make the profit.

The government could save lives and end people smuggling tomorrow by creating safe routes to sanctuary.

You've just survived a terrifying Channel crossing. You've left your home behind, and your loved ones have no idea if you're safe.
Now the police have taken your phone. Your last lifeline to home.
It's yet more pointless cruelty - instead of the safe routes that would actually save lives.

It's the national year of reading in the uk in 2026. Instead of asking "why don't kids read any more", ask "how can I help them find the stories (and non fic) they will fall in love with". Less "get off my lawn whippersnappers" and more "come, sit on the lawn, here's a comic".
