I caught covid for the first time in my life this October, and I still haven’t fully recovered. It’s still really fucking bad. Please get your shots and try to stay safe.

This is an absolutely stellar way of putting it.
I guess there's an interesting contrast with today where in the 90s trying to Make The Computer Work was sort of an exercise in collaboration, like you and the computer were together trying to make compute happen. Whereas today it feels like the computer is your enemy. You are fighting it.

This is an absolutely stellar way of putting it.
In all honesty, our (30+) generation got an insane amount of useful computer literacy, troubleshooting skills and a bunch of extra critical thinking affinity from the sheer amount of debugging. It was a fun little mystery to solve each time, and I felt powerful and competent when I succeeded✨
There was a period (the 90s) using a computer meant constantly debugging little surprises because the software wasn't very good. And there's a period (now) using a computer means similar constant little surprises/hurdles because the software updates silently overnight.
In between, things were nice.

On Saturday, Mutyur’s heart gave up out of absolutely nowhere. He had no prior health issues bar his spine problems, for which we saw a vet and a therapist every month. We are devastated, heartbroken and in utter disbelief. He was the absolute smartest, kindest, most lovable little boy. 😔🖤
