Despite my back issues, I went to yoga teacher training this weekend (weekend 6 of 8) and did my first ever demos for teaching a 10 minute pose sequence and leading a 10 minute guided meditation. More to learn and grow into as a yoga teacher but it’s been wonderful watching this part of me unfold.

Update—back/nerve pain is still going so I started a round of prednisone today. Good vibes welcome.

I was 13 or 14 when I came out (not totally willingly). Turning 35 next month.
I came out at 19, and I'm about to turn 38 in a couple of weeks.
I was 18, said I was bi and my mom cried non-stop for 2 hours.
I'm 36 now.

After everything going on in life and work, I could use a break. Instead my back is acting up causing pain, both in my back and nerve pain in my legs (moderate pain, no weakness or numbness, mostly aching and some prickly pain from time to time). Honestly hasn’t been this bad since my injury in 2017

My birthday is mid-December and I always hated getting “birth-mas” gifts growing up but now it’s my excuse for getting one big thing to celebrate. This year it’s the new Lego Aquarium 😍
It’s gonna be so hard to wrap it and not start building as soon as it gets here lol

We’re back from STL. The memorial was beautiful and gutting and it was so special to see all the people who were touched by her life show up, including all four of us who practically lived at their house when I was in high school.
We stopped by my undergrad and grabbed some new merch too.

You can expect posting to be a bit sparse for a while. The woman who was more like a mom to me than my mom is died last week. We have to travel for the funeral on Monday and grief has me wanting to cry on and off all day long. My emotions and libido are up and down and all over the place. Brutal.
