Holy shi, My black tea is actually good! Very fresh, finished drying yesterday and tasting today. But damn does it smell and taste good. Definitely on the lighter side, thinking maybe more rolling next time ?

Picked two-leaves-and-bud from my tea plants and some wild ones two days ago, wilted for 20 hours or so, rolled by hand for twenty minutes, and have been watching them oxidize for about 16 hours so far. Gonna sun dry these as much as I can today once the smell feels right... How am I doing?

There is absolutely no comparable American-grown and -produced substitute for Chinese, Taiwanese, or Japanese tea.
Terroir, climate, cultivar, a millennia of knowledge cannot be replicated a world away.
These tariffs are idiotic.
