Just in time for the holidays...🚨New publication alert!🚨

Our latest paper is out in Clinical and Experimental Allergy!

The esophagus is not just for food transport! Esophageal epithelial cells help to control allergic inflammation via expression of MHCII!

Oesophageal Epithelial Cell‐Intrinsic MHCII Regulates Food Antigen‐Dependent Eosinophilic Esophagitis in an IFNγ‐Dependent Manner
We found that oesophageal epithelial cells upregulate MHCII expression during active EoE in humans and a mouse model. MHCII expression by EECs was governed by IFNγ-inducible transcriptional elements....

I really enjoyed speaking with Stephanie on Public Health On Call. Please help to get the word out that early allergen introduction is safe and effective!
Official recommendations encourage introducing peanuts to children’s diets at around 4 to 6 months old.

@drdavidhill.bsky.social explains how early introduction has reduced peanut allergies.
