Whomever decided to push the budget to a month before Christmas just to edge out the misery and drip feed scare stories really needs to give their head a wobble. I am so tired of hearing about ‘the budget’ that is yet to be. Why must we suffer so much? #UKPolitics

Reminder that In the 1990s Farage sought the backing of the disgraced former Conservative MP and notorious racist Enoch Powell and twice asked him to stand as a candidate for UKIP.

The film is absorbing and I enjoyed several of the performances, including both Woodall & Malek. The Soviets were also involved in the Nuremberg trials but you wouldn’t know that from this film, which says something interesting about filmic representation and the limits of accommodation.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember the bright and courageous trans people whose lives were stolen by hatred. Their absence is felt across our city.

We will honor them by building a New York where every trans person can live safely, fully and freely.

A queer special collections archival trip for students on my #QueerLit course today. We are reading Evaristo’s #MrLoverman so lots of #Windrush material on display, too. Particularly interesting were House of Commons notes from the Race Relations Act 1965 debate written by then MP Bernard Weatherill

The idea that recognised refugees need to be deported is wrong.

A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.
