I suppose you can find a lot more things these days, on the internet, even with physical media. But in my experience, none of it is ever as satisfying as finding something on a shelf, something you didn't even know you wanted.

See the TCM website got rid of its movie database. I was still grumbling over how they got rid of the forum where people could describe movies they couldn't remember the names of.

Supposedly there's a made for TV remake starring Eric Roberts that nobody in the world ever saw and I don't know why they'd want to.
But Fools' Parade is worth checking out, if you get the chance. Not really similar, but by the same author and set in the same town.

Almost thought it was going to be the story of how Gumby's parents met for a second there

I like that they adapted it from the official sequels instead of doing a reboot or reimagining of the 1939 film.

Actually reminds me of when he met AMLO in his first term.

Wonder if Toth ever thought of which button set off which ray, or which combinations of buttons...

Having them split sounds like the best option to me. Not optimistic though

Every now and then I'll hear them interview one of those guys or someone and they'll talk about how many drug dealers they caught. I'll always think, "sounds like they're arguing for the DEA there..."

Was that the one with Laurel and Hardy?

When I heard about i was a little relieved because I thought my eyes had been getting worse... but I have to wonder, why do they do that? Don't the people who design these cars drive themselves? Who wants that on the road?

I really like the actor Warren William but I can't quite wrap my head around the idea that he ever played Perry Mason, any more than he played Sam Spade

Don't think they really needed to make Betty Boop a ghost for the upcoming horror version. Some Boop cartoons were close enough to horror movies, particularly Betty Boop Meets the Old Man of the Mountain

Guess if a filmmaker's starting out they might fantasize about being the next Welles or Tarantino, and surely never the next Ed Wood. But, on the other hand, Wood once returned a phone call to a completely unknown fan at 4 in the morning. In a way, that's something to be proud of.

funny, I remember when the Demi Moore Scarlet Letter came out with a happy ending, someone did a cartoon mocking, suggesting they would also give Moby Dick a happy ending

What are your top 5 movie genres? Mine are:
-horror with scares that are off screen
-one that has dream sequences where you know they're dreams from the outset
-where character actors turn out to be the leads
-apparently supernatural events with rational explanations
-wrongly accused protagonists
What are your top 5 movie genres? Mine are:

-"I got it, we'll *pretend* to be married! What could go wrong?"
-Englishmen being weird
-Ship hunted by submarine
-Submarine hunted by ship
-Submarine hunted by other submarine

(The first two can be improved by the addition of a submarine.)

One of my absolute favorite science fiction films. It really got me into the poetry of Paul Eluard. Supposedly it also inspired Lucas to get in that genre.
