At least Philly fans are known for being forgiving.

Zack Fox is also a better rapper than like 80% of the shit that gets put out nowadays. His album was legit good.

I need Quinta to add Zack as a main character and not just a recurring character 😭

I need to take my kids to school. I'll give you the last word.
drewunga.bsky.social
No, you're in denial of facts. Not of one man's opinion.
drewunga.bsky.social
I'm not defending the Torre Dynasty. Quite the opposite. Nothing from that era should be spared criticism or the mentioning of PEDs. The only thing I'll defend is Ken Griffey, Jr. because if he took PEDs, they didn't work on that skinny frame of his.
drewunga.bsky.social
I'll take your word for it. I remember him as a player. One of the game's greatest characters. I just don't remember reading what was said about him when he died.
drewunga.bsky.social
He wasn't blackballed, just not very highly thought of. He makes Jim Bowden look like a smart baseball mind. Manfred and Silver are paid by the owners. It should matter that that's where their loyalties lie, because otherwise they'd be out of a job. Admitting your sport is corrupt is a deathknell.
drewunga.bsky.social
If I was frustrated I wouldn't be engaging with 4 people simultaneously, 3 of whom chose to start the conversations--not me. I don't want Astros fans to deny they cheated. That's irrelevant since the players admitted/apologized for it. I don't expect them to admit it's illegitimate. Even tho it is.
drewunga.bsky.social
I didn't notice how beloved Gaylord Perry was when he passed. I was probably busy that day. But I doubt the day a guy dies is when people want to mention they cheated. That stuff is usually reserved for obituaries and after unwritten moratoriums.
drewunga.bsky.social
The Torre dynasty isn't specifically stained by PEDs, because all of baseball is. I watched Eric Gagne have the single greatest season ever by a closer but he cheated so I don't consider it legit. I would think more people than not consider Bonds record(s) tainted.
drewunga.bsky.social
How many baseball jobs has David Samson had since? Rob Manfred has a brand to protect. Just like Adam Silver does with the Kawhi scandal. That's where their loyalty lies. If the Astros have nothing to apologize for then why did so many Astros apologize?
drewunga.bsky.social
I don’t care what Astros fans think of the 2017 World Series. Of course they’re in denial. I started engaging with an Astros fan who seemed unaware that Clayton Kershaw dominated the Astros in Game 1 of the 2017 World Series. I didn’t realize all of you were as delusional. My mistake.
drewunga.bsky.social
I’m not surprised you’re still in denial. Nobody wants to think they wasted all that time rooting for and investing in a team that cheated to win. It’s easier to put your fingers in your ears and put a blindfold on than admit it was all a lie.
drewunga.bsky.social
I don’t care what Astros fans think because of course they don’t want to admit that they cheered for a fraud. I didn’t think I needed to quantify that. Clearly I’ve touched a nerve.
drewunga.bsky.social
By “We” I’m guessing you’re referring to everybody that isn’t an Astros fan, right? Literally everybody. The difference between the Astros and Joe Biden is that the Astros admitted they cheated and Joe Biden didn’t cheat.
drewunga.bsky.social
That team will never be talked about without mentioning they cheated. There doesn’t have to be a literal asterisk there. Just like nobody will talk about the 2020 World Series without mentioning it came in a 50-game season during a pandemic. There’s no asterisk on that one either but it’s a fact.
drewunga.bsky.social
Keep telling yourself that.
drewunga.bsky.social
Of course not. Like WWE fans who still think wrestling is real.
drewunga.bsky.social
You’re asking a Dodger fan if he wants to put an asterisk on a Giants’ World Series? What do you think my answer is?
drewunga.bsky.social
I’ve never seen that movie so I don’t know what you’re talking about. Boston was docked one second round pick and their video coordinator and manager were banned for a year. The Astros were fined $5M, docked consecutive first and second round picks, and their manager and GM were banned for a year.
drewunga.bsky.social
I’m just going off of what their players admitted to. I don’t care what the fans think. They admitted to cheating. Why can’t their fans also admit they cheated? They’ve won a legit one since. It’s okay to just admit it now. That title will forever have an asterisk.
drewunga.bsky.social
Nobody forgot about the Red Sox. The MLB investigation showed they only used video to steal signs during the regular season.
drewunga.bsky.social
I’ve seen a lot of Astros fans defenses over the years but “Maybe everybody else was doing it too, we don’t know” is easily the dumbest.
drewunga.bsky.social
What was your “We don’t know if that’s true” referring to?
