Ending 2025 with three outstanding knitting projects 🧶 I don't really like the jumper but I'll finish it out of spite.
The border of a Bayeux tapestry-inspired knitting project. Orange background and bright blue stranded colour work. There are three beasts, one of whom is a large bird, the other two look like big cats, but it's hard to tell. Middle beast on Bayeux tapestry knitting project. It's probably a lion. A knitted jumper in two parts, literally. There's a back panel and three quarters of a raglan sleeve. It is knitted in stripes of orange, magenta, and green. A nearly-finished pair of knitted socks. They are mismatching colours and they're made with leftover scraps. The left sock kinda looks like an ice cream and the right sock a rainbow.

Book update: intro, methods, and 4 chapters complete. I will work on the conclusion over the coming weeks. I'm working at my day job up to and including Christmas Eve, but am excited to log off for a few days and absolutely demolish the massive Toblerone I got from Costco 😎🥂

I would call it my magnum opus but I call everything my magnum opus and it doesn't have the same impact after a while. But! I am pleased, especially with the flow of Harold Godwinson's sash. Very satisfying. Hard to see the detail when you work up close for so many hours 🧐

A zoomed in image of Harold Godwinson's sash which I find especially pleasing as it has a nice flow. It crosses his body and then drapes over his left arm.

So, I haven't done any book work this week as I needed some thinking space (I'm ahead of schedule though so I'm not too worried). Did I rest? Kinda 😅 this latest piece is based on panel 25 of the Bayeux Tapestry (chart by Roland Designs on Etsy 🧶)
A knitted reimagining of panel 25 of the Bayeux Tapestry in beige and rust coloured yarn. There is a bird, maybe a Griffin, and then some kinda long-tongued beast on the border. Bird detail on knitted panel. It looks like a stork. Or maybe a swan. Difficult to tell. This guy could be a Griffin, but also maybe a bog-standard lion or a dog. I think this last guy might be some kinda dragon, actually. Again, hard to tell.
