I enjoy that the movie One Battle after Another has a good plot. A man cares for the child of his lover. The man is white, she is black. He has feelings of family.
He has friends that are assisting immigrants. Everyone is a literal rebel. Still its all about personal motives.
Good story.

The Jersey Shore is a really underrated place. Maybe Beach or Coast would be better names.
There are many historic Victorian homes which are now mostly museums or research stations. This would be a nice place to work.

During COVID lockdown I watched 2 or 3 movies on most days. One of my faves is The Light between Oceans. (A love triangle with 4 sides.)
Finally I read the book.
The Book is better. The chief reason being that the writer of a book knows how to end a story.
Hollywood, not so much.

As I reflect on the past and future, I am glad Matt won but his best work was Boy on the Red Bike.
