There is hope! The courts continue to uphold democracy and have extended the order blocking the cuts to NIH indirect rates! I know the concept of indirect rates can be confusing; here's what I think is a nice, clear visualization

They tried this 💩 in the first admin, proposing cuts of indirects to 10%, and it was resisted by Congress

Call your congresspeople, and remind them they have defended health research before, and they can do so again

This will be what ends scientific research in the US. Indirect costs are not waste; they are required for universities and research centers to function. I ask you once again to call your members of congress and tell them to stop this attack on science. arstechnica.com/science/2025...
