Kid: I'm sick but I'm healthy.
Me: Right. You have a cough and a virus, but I think you'll be ok. Home to rest and recover.
Kid: See? I'm sick but I'm healthy.

PSA by Dr Killjoy? Perhaps. Just the same: please spread the word that it is both a bad idea and inappropriate to blow up glove balloons in an exam room. They are not toys. They are costly. Most of all: They can pose some serious risks, esp with younger kids. #pedsky #graphicmedicine

Just because one does not leave a clinic, urgent care, or ER visit with a prescription for antibiotics does NOT mean that good care failed to happen. In fact, it may be exactly what one needed. (Meaning: Antibiotics do NOT treat viruses, and good supportive care can help). #graphicmedicine #medsky
