I just wanted to share that everyone here in CCMR is deeply saddened by the passing of @cam.ac.uk Professor Bill Blakemore. He was instrumental for training an entire generation of glia biologists. His work on remyelination and MS research created the models we all use today! He will sorely missed.

Hello to Nicola Schmid, a neurobiologist in Switzerland working with Bruno Weber and Marina Herwerth. Neurones transiently decrease their calcium activity when astrocytes are ablated with AQP4 antibody - but to everyone's surprise, they recover! #GRCGlia2025 #neuroscience #astrocytes #science
