That.... Is a big game. How long?
I saw shadows there, mulled it while we did our event, then went to grab it and it was gone.

Having just watched your "just play ya games vid" I'm inclined to thank you 😊

Million dollar man was so good.

I'm with you on never getting hulkmania too. So many more interesting characters.

Little me couldn't get enough of Superfly (and I had soft spots for Hart foundation and bushwhackers too) 😅
Was pleasantly surprised by this one! Thought all the separate boards came together nicely and I finished wanting to give it another go. I enjoyed the bumping mechanic and "bee jail".
Ah damn that's a shame. I enjoyed aeons end legacy, but we were learning the game for the first time, so the gradual introduction of stuff via legacy mechanics worked really well.
How was it overall? Competitive legacy games always seem an interesting proposition. A lot to balance!
I enjoyed the game part. Some interesting interdependencies between players etc. But yeah the presentation and politics lack anything resembling nuance which was pretty weird given their aesthetic and "academic" marketing. Each of the classes' VP routes has a bit of choiceless button clicking too.
Got hegemony to the table and despite being slow going (we were all first timers) it was good! As the working class I prospered for a tidy 2nd place finish but I had to rely on the state and they took it fairly easily. Enjoyed the interdependencies and creating incentives to co-op in game.
I think things are turning around for your lot though! Neto and Hwang have looked completely revitalized the last few games.

There is nothing quite like Molly House, a board game that makes love and sex as worthy of consideration as war or economic optimization. My preview: spacebiff.com/2023/10/17/m...
That's excellent! I'd love to know more about why it exists as well (anecdotally at least, it seems to be a thing here too). Do you have any possibles/probables in mind already?
I love [popular game]!

But only when we house rule the middle 3/4 of it and replace the core gameplay with [popular mechanic].

Recommend.

A British Conservative politician today launched a vile attack on the very fundamentals of the UK, an open, welcoming society that has been made better by thousands of years of immigration. This response from Oxford Brookes academic Glen O’Hara sums up how most of us feel.
