For the love of everything good in the world, playing semantic ping pong in email with certain folks almost feels like certain people at work enjoy misunderstanding faculty. Like damn, we all have our own work to do and some folks relish in making it harder for you to do yours.

“When disability, poverty & systemic neglect make life unbearable, that is not ‘autonomy’ — it is abandonment.” CRDJ's MAiD report shows that disabled people—especially those who are poor, Indigenous, or people of color—are offered help to die more readily than help to live. [2/3]

Saddened to hear about the loss of Alice Wong, who gave so much to this world. My work doesn’t exist without the possibility model that was Alice. What a disability trailblazer.
bringing this statement over from Alice’s Twitter. it appears the below was Alice’s last post before passing. I am heartbroken

Teary eyed and typing. Pinch me moment… working on something time sensitive & noticing there are new citations of some of my 2024 work, in papers AND dissertations?! And it’s in conversation with scholar(ship) I read and enjoy!? 🤯 from new scholars and grad students? Eventually this
