For the love of everything good in the world, playing semantic ping pong in email with certain folks almost feels like certain people at work enjoy misunderstanding faculty. Like damn, we all have our own work to do and some folks relish in making it harder for you to do yours.

“When disability, poverty & systemic neglect make life unbearable, that is not ‘autonomy’ — it is abandonment.” CRDJ's MAiD report shows that disabled people—especially those who are poor, Indigenous, or people of color—are offered help to die more readily than help to live. [2/3]

For the 50th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, I spoke with advocates about how this law is crucial–and the ways in which disability education can be made better as its under attack from the Trump administration at @motherjones.com. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Sometimes, you take a sigh when you’re revising IRB & you go right back in and do what you have to do. It’s its own kind of 😩😩😩.

We were up late into this morning, watching tv shows and relaxing after cooking all literal day. I’m incredibly grateful for the Thanksgiving we had.

We are doing a full American thanksgiving tomorrow and a more Caribbean themed Christmas spread.

I’m searching for this article and can’t locate it. I’m hoping someone in my community has access to this & can share it with me. “Multi-Sensory Methods: Toward a Crip Methodology in Fashion Studies” (2024).

I’ve had the worst headache since arriving in Denver. I’m so looking forward to going home and the headache going away. Nonetheless, it was a great conference experience!

Saddened to hear about the loss of Alice Wong, who gave so much to this world. My work doesn’t exist without the possibility model that was Alice. What a disability trailblazer.
bringing this statement over from Alice’s Twitter. it appears the below was Alice’s last post before passing. I am heartbroken

This ASHE conference owes me NOTHING.

There is NOTHING like people telling you that they cited your work in their conference presentations. It’s not something I expect. Like, you never know if people are reading your work or it’s finding the audience you’re writing for. I’m grateful and humbled.
