Not going to lie but having an actual break on my now virtual campus visit is amazing. I cannot believe we routinely do this to each other. 10-13 hours of talking. We know most of us are introverts, right?

I guess they don't really care if they remove you and then you sue or if you sue and then they replace you

Normally, I would be in favor of an independently elected Board, but watching Spanberger clean house at UVA makes me a little jealous.

All the research says this is a bad idea. I also heard in MS this week that the score to not repeat 3rd grade is no where near proficiency. If it was, they would be retaining like 65% of kids
Governor's new bill requires Nebraska kids to pass a reading test, what this means for students
“This has been passed in at least 13 or so states, some of them now are trying to get rid of the retention law because of its ineffectiveness."

A day in the life: BOR meeting, ask where $800 mill is coming from when they can't find $7 mill. Work on job talk. Eat lunch, chat with student, collect cardboard coffin from car, get another coffee, help set up AAUP table. Ask interim Chancellor how she's going to prevent this from happening again

UNL faculty, staff, and students, turned out to tell the interim Chancellor and the system President they have not been acting in good faith
January 15, 2026 at 10:35 PM
I went to BOR today to ask where $800 million was coming from when there wasn't $7 million to support four departments. I got a lot of good jobs from faculty at UNMC and Clarkson University.
January 15, 2026 at 4:55 PM
This morning, I read Bennett's separation agreement. Based on the timeline, this was in the works before he hung four departments out to dry at the BOR meeting

I think the press wanted me to say we were happy with today's news. But it doesn't solve the problem, it merely deflects attention from where the real issues lay
January 5, 2026 at 7:25 PM
As late birthday presents go, I'll take it. But it's clear he's just being used to deflect from the problems with the BOR and the President.

How to put women back in the kitchen in one easy step.
Even faster than I expected. Can’t overstate the down-market effects this will have on providers and families across the country.

Care centers will close, people will lose and have to quit their jobs. Right as millions are losing health care and seeing premiums jump

I literally only agreed to go on a date with my now husband because the campaign manager who I was making called with called him hot Kevin and vouched for his politics. Also he had a cute cat 🤷🏻‍♀️
In my experience on the apps, there’s only one political subset that hides or obfuscates their views on their profiles. It’s rather telling.

Everyone has a list of so-called "red flags" when they're dating. And for some, especially younger Americans, different political views is a relationship deal breaker.
