I wholeheartedly agree—though after laying out a good initial argument this paper takes a strange turn with the final two sentences that seems to undercut most of its own force.

It’s good to see papers start to address LLMs as structural plagiarism — provenance, more hidden than the original words or training data. www.nature.com/articles/s42...

A DROP OF CORRUPTION by Robert Jackson Bennett - 2nd in a series of murder mysteries taking place in a fantasy world. RJB writes great fantasy, and these layer on an extremely Holmesian take on a military detective and her adjutant. #LibFaves25

I don't trust a slot machine - pretty easy to rig.

But in a casino, you can at least see some folks win sometimes.

The online slots? Seems like a perfect recipe to have people pump money into a prize-less machine.

And it lives in your pocket, on your portable addiction machine.

All student log-ins use last name first initial.

Kid trying to log in, doesn’t work.

Tries again.

And again.

And again.

Checks for accidental spaces, checks password, not working.

Doesn't stop him from trying the exact same thing 3 more times.

There are 18 tables in the library.

I set up book processing on 2 of them.

Which tables did the students decided they NEEDED to sit at today, despite there being 16 other tables in the library?

I’ll give you a second to guess.

Thurs, printed 43 cards. Started folding them, decided I needed 7 more, printed those - had to go to office to pick 'em up.

Went back to folding. Counted total, and was somehow 5 short. Printed 5 more, folded those, counted, everything is good.

Y'know, GoodReads, you don't update the bits that would make the site work faster; but you add an auto-correct that changes things in my review I didn't do wrong, forcing me to backtrack repeatedly.

Are you TRYING to drive me away?
