5/ There is a clear line as to what is the responsibility of the user and what is the responsibility of the cloud provider. And here, there is a clear agreement as to what HaShem will provide and what Abraham and the Jewish People will provide.

4/ There is a covenant created after Abram’s name is changed to Abraham between Abraham and HaShem. This covenant is reiterated a few times in the book of Beresheit (Genesis). And when I think of the covenant it reminds me of the Shared Responsibility Model.

3/ The parsha has the war of the 5 kings after Lot was kidnapped. The story of Hagar and Ishmael and the promise to Sarah to have a child.

In the past, I’ve related this parsha to leaving on-prem and moving to the cloud. However, this time around, I want to focus on the covenant that is created.

2/ In Aug 2001, I was at the kotel for the very first time and put on tefillin after seeing them for the first time in my life. This week we were back at the Kotel, but this time as Israelis with a son who was there promising to defend the country.

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is Lech Lecha (לך לך). The idea of leaving your home and going to your homeland makes this parsha very special to Olim. For me this week, this is a very poignant parsha. I was reflecting on my path of Teshuva.

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is Noah (נח). HaShem destorys the world this week. Seemed like something similar happened on Monday. The sign that HaShem won’t destroy the world again is the rainbow. The sign that AWS will do it’s best to not do the same is the public 6-pager explaining what happened.

4/ Maybe, but he could have been talking to the AI.

When you get worried about AI taking over the world, maybe this will make you feel better, AI could have been used to create the world to start. 😉

3/ There are other Midrashim that talk about the entire tree was supposed to take like the fruit, not just the fruit of the tree. And there is also the message where HaShem says: Genesis 1:26 “Let us make humankind”. It’s a famous question, who was HaShem talking to? Angels?

2/ Given my recent experience using QCLI and other AI tools, I can imagine HaShem, busy with his other tasks, asking a GenAI to create the world for him. And the AI gets it wrong, so he has to have it redo it again and again until what gets created is “close enough”.

1/ Chevre, this week’s parsha is Beresheit (בראשית). Again we have the story of the creation of the world. There is a Midrash (I found Midrash Tehillim 90:13 in my internet searching) that talks about the creation of over 900 worlds.

4/ May we have more days ahead of joy and fewer of pain. Am Yisrael Chai. Chag Sameach.
3/ I hope and pray that we will continue together in joy and good things together and that the horrors of the events that started the war are behind us. And while there are some families in joy there are many others is pain. And I embrace both sides and understand the split feelings of both sides.
2/ celebrate with joy, Simchat Torah, the re-starting of the Torah. This morning I was davening in the same shul that I was in on Simchat Torah 2 years ago. So much has happened and changed. The country has suffered great losses and great joys, together.
1/ Chevre, we are currently ending Sukkot and tonight will enter Simchat Torah. Just as our hostages this morning came out of the field out of captivity into the joyous embrace of their families, Am Yisrael will come out of their Sukkot, back into their homes and ...
9/ I can have Q CLI summarize the data and generate a nice report.

I know this is a geeky simcha, but it still makes me happy.
