Spent some time testing new 8-bit Atari equip. Have an 800XL I picked up recently with a stuck key. Fixed by cleaning mylar. Also got an Indus GT working that I picked up at VCFMW for $50. Cleaned the head & greased the rails. All working great! #atari #atari8bit #retrocomputing #indusGT

Playing some of the new game by Microprose called Cleared Hot. Cool arcade style helicopter game. @microprose.bsky.social is really hitting it out of the park lately. Been also playing their game Death by Scrolling and it's a winner too. I'm glad they're back!

Ta da! I made a lil 2600 controller that has a paddle knob built in! The switches determine what paddle is being used and whether or not the B button acts as a joystick fire or a paddle trigger. Start/select toggle whether A is up (handy for C64 games) or joystick fire.

The first SHMUP I fell in love with was Carnival on the Intellivision! I used to play on there at my cousins house and it's a fond memory.
I bought myself a copy on the Atari 2600 and it arrived today! it's just as amazing as I remember. I love this game. ❤️

While its official release date is often listed in December 85, I have found it listed in newspapers for sale in November of that year. Whatever the exact date, The Bard's Tale, one of the best early Computer RPGs, is 40 years old.
