Well...I think I am officially a Zdarsky fan, now. This was so fucking good. I read two Marvel 2099 series over my vacation, and was disappointed by both (though I did really enjoy the first half of Doom 2099), this series absolutely delivers on the whole "heroes in a dystopian world" concept.
Boy oh boy, was this an enjoyable read. Terrific art by Pasqual Ferry and Matt Hollingsworth, and a tale from Chip Zdarsky as good as any of the classic "What If?" Issues (complete with a pitch-perfect ending), only given an entire mini-series for the story to breathe.
One small change to our schedule for the weekend. We are not able to play out scheduled session of Champions: The Guard, so we will be taking Monolith's Batman: Gotham City Chronicles out for a spin on Saturday morning.
Hope this finds you all healthy, safe, and well, and to see y'all in the Underdark, the wilds of Eredane, the Great White North, or Cold War Berlin!

Speaking of bright spots, I've been reading an issue a night of Robinson's Starman and your issues (the "Past Times" issues featuring Ted) are two of my favorites. Your art on #42, in particular, is just perfect for that story (a little Mignola, a little Sprouse, but uniquely your own look).
A little more than 50 days after starting it, reading one issue a night, I wrapped up Compendium One of the James Robinson Starman series tonight.

I'm thrilled to find that I am enjoying them as much as I did, back in the day, and to read issues that I had missed when they were originally released.
This is such a great idea for a show, and I will watch the hell out of it, but this would also be an amazing premise for a Star Wars RPG campaign (dealer's choice as to which SW RPG. I'd probably go with d20 Star Wars Revised, due to some recency bias, but Saga, FFG SW, and WEG would all work, too).
ANDOR creator Tony Gilroy likes the idea of a Kleya and Vel ‘Nazi hunters’ spin-off series in which the duo hunt after former Imperials following the fall of the Empire with the assistance of Dedra Meero in a Hannibal Lector-esque role.
