It looks very cool and sounds very cool but the thing is airborne wind turbines aren't a new idea and nobody's come up with the answer to "what if there's a sudden storm" yet, which is vitally important for this particular thing
NEW: China is testing a megawatt-scale airborne wind system that captures stronger high-altitude winds, potentially producing up to 10× more energy with 40% less material and 30% lower costs. It could also be quickly deployed to supply emergency power after disasters.

this doesn't even come close to fair use, and given that superheroes are the absolute 100% easiest thing to pastiche for your own original work that is honestly kind of amazing

also it's porn so yeah they're going to get sued the moment Marvel or DC notices this, assuming that they haven't already

I suspect this is at best partially correct and would be addressed in any hypothetical "Trump demands an attack on Greenland" scenario by simply firing generals until you find either one who wants their pension more than their self-respect or one who is as crazy as Trump is
I’m pretty convinced any order to attack Greenland or Canada will be disobeyed by military leaders.

Seriously. Not for sure but pretty sure

Trump will find out who the military is really loyal to and it ain’t fatso in chief

not a new observation but still striking how many things boil down to the difference between people who get power and go “ok, I better try not to be a jerk” and people who get power and go “now I get to be a jerk”

Jesse Ventura is one of those guys, like Curtis Sliwa, who is absolutely authentic. That doesn't necessarily equate to "good" and Ventura has had his share of bad political positions but he is, at least, an actual real human being in an era of political inauthenticity.
For you youngsters out there just finding out about him, Jesse Ventura is not "some kind of lake wizard" but was at one time the governor of Minnesota and before that a professional wrestler

In case anyone didn’t believe in the literacy crisis among the kids, my eighth graders loudly complained about being given a six page story and it took many of them about an hour and a half to read it. And then lots of them said they didn’t get very basic things in the story. And I’m so tired.

No, Tony the Tiger is the only straight cereal mascot. However he is an ally who is friends with the gay tigers from ZOOTOPIA because all tigers know each other. Yes they all know Shere Khan too. No they don't like him, why would they like Shere Khan
Fred Flintstone is the only straight cereal mascot. Barney Rubble is bi.

I agree they don't have a lot of juice or manpower, but the ability of authoritarian governments to institute martial regimes (even when they don't call it that) is basically dependent on the average person's perception of the risk/reward ratio of standing up for values, so it's not impossible.
They don’t have the juice or manpower for it. This is not late 1930s Germany. There is no state monopoly on media. They are wildly unpopular.
The goal here is martial law. It’s martial law. Let’s be clear about that.

This is something rarely mentioned: violence is a calculation, for all sides. Police run that calculation everytime they consider how to arrest someone, and when you find them say not arresting a compound full of gun nuts, its because the calculation say they will lose officers
"The question that you're basically asking is, can our cops arrest them? From a legal perspective, yes. From a practical perspective...they have bigger guns than we do." That's where we're at.
