I think often of the time a bunch of murder victims’ families showed Trump treasured photos of their loved ones and he signed them
Q: Do you plan to attend Sarah's funeral?

TRUMP: I haven't thought about it yet, but it's certainly something I can conceive of. I love West Virginia. You know, I won West Virginia by one of the biggest margins of any president anywhere.

Back in 2011, the crew over at @singlesjukebox.bsky.social reviewed what we thought was a new Ke$ha single and a bunch of us really loved it (myself included) but then it turned out it was just a leak and was never released…

“Diplomats should “regularly engage host governments and their respective authorities to raise U.S. concerns about violent crimes associated with people of a migration background.”

People of a migration background?
It's not just that the United States has stopped trying to promote liberal democratic ideas internationally. It's that the United States is actively trying to promote the contrary. It's trying to turn more countries into Hungary.

One thing about the end of the latest piece from Ryan Lizza about how corrupt Olivia Nuzzi is: the artist mentioned here is the same one who Vanity Fair commissioned to do the "abstract nude" painting of Nuzzi

unbelievable behavior from everyone involved here - Nuzzi for doing catch and kill, Lizza for sitting on this shit so he can sell newsletter subscriptions, RFK for existing

To be clear Lizza’s story is that Nuzzi sat on important matters of national significance for personal benefit and he’s sat on these details until he could personally benefit.

All of DC media needs to be thrown into the sea. Anyone who defends these people is a goddamn clown.

Trump says Haiti no longer meets requirements for TPS. Haitians have to leave

Truly baffling that Lizza held onto the most important and serious allegations - all of the details of the supposed catch & kills and work as a de facto political operative for RFK - until Part 3, first transparently trying to titillate people with gossip and sex.
The next Lizza piece is gonna be a doozy

Annnnnnd now the West Virginia governor says he's not sure about the condition of the National Guardsmen.

Maybe best to not tweet out that they are both dead until, you know, you KNOW that is absolutely the case...

Well, I’m sure that the Trump administration won’t use this to try to justify even more repressive and authoritarian measures in DC or anywhere else.

best we've got right now is Murdoch Mysteries, a detective show set in late 1800's Toronto, where the lead characters regularly invent modern technology by accident. Detective Murdoch created the Roomba. Tatiana Maslany's brother plays a gay jewish cop. It's incredible.

People keep posting about how “maybe Leavitt will learn a lesson now that it’s happening to her sister-in-law” and…you are missing a key point. The woman is Leavitt’s brother’s *ex* & Leavitt’s entire family - including her brother & his new wife - seem pretty eager to deport this woman.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...

As predicted, the White House Press Secretary’s brother and her father are telling his ex-fiancée & mother of his son, a DACA-protected immigrant whose final green card interview is already scheduled, that she should “self-deport” to a country she hasn’t lived in since she was 6 years old.

LIBRARIES MAKE BOOKS ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE, she shouts, apparently inaudibly

WHY DO THESE "YOU'RE A CLASS TRAITOR" PEOPLE KEEP PRETENDING LIBRARIES DON'T EXIST?

ARE THEY CLASS TRAITORS WHO DON'T BELIEVE IN LIBRARIES?
Just saw someone claim that authors who want to be paid for their work are "class traitors" because we "only let the wealthy" read our books, and I think I need to go into the woods to scream into the night for a bit.

It's $5, not your first-born child! I need that $5 for health insurance!
November 26, 2025 at 3:51 PM
Libraries exist! You can get a library card! And request the book from the library! You may need to wait a few days, but like…there are ways for you to read books for free that *still* don’t deprive authors of compensation for their labour.
These are pretty naked -- and therefore instructive -- examples of the sorts of defenses that people offer to try and get off the hook
November 26, 2025 at 6:02 PM
The son lives with Leavitt’s brother and his wife. The ex was in the US under DACA protections, but was in the process of getting legal status. Conveniently for the brother, she’s now been arrested and may be deported just before she was about to obtain legal residency status.
