Trump has been illegally bombing boats off the coast of Venezuela.

Tim Kaine and Adam Schiff forced a vote on reasserting Congress's role over war powers and ending this reckless
warmongering.

It failed 48-51.

Murkowski and Paul voted yes.

Fetterman voted no.

Imagine being the DOJ staffer who was assigned to help the AG prepare for an oversight hearing and instead of reviewing material with her so that she could answer questions from the Senate, spent the entire time drafting pithy personalized insults for her to use against each Democratic Senator.

Reuters photographer Jonathan Ernst noticed that Bondi flipped open a file during the Senate hearing and he zoomed in.

Inside were her crib notes for attacking the senators.

In other words, under oath Bondi was purely a performance.

We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’

In addition to Comey, Trump’s DOJ is supposedly about to charge John Bolton, and is in the process of investigating Christopher Wray and John Brennan. It seems like they’re trying to go after any former official from Trump’s first term who has since become a critic of him.

Remember that "Pam: I have reviewed ..." TruthSocial post from Trump, the one that looked a lot like a private message?

Yes, it was supposed to be a private message.

Trump "was surprised to learn it was public."

Republican states filing a brief in the Illinois v. Trump lawsuit arguing in favour of the President being able to deploy National Guard troops from one state to police and repress another state. They must feel really confident that the shoe will never be on the other foot, eh?

This is getting wild.

The states of Iowa, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and 14 others have just asked for permission to file THEIR amicus brief in IL v. Trump.
The States of Iowa, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina and 14 additional States
respectfully move for leave to submit the attached amicus curiae brief in support of Defendants
and their opposition to Plaintiffs’ requested temporary restraining order and preliminary
injunction. Proposed amici are States with a vested interest in federalism, the relationship between
States and the federal government, and deploying the National Guard. We also each have a vital
interest in supporting the President and Congress in enacting and enforcing valid immigration
laws. Every State has a responsibility to protect our citizens.
The federalization of States’ National Guard units is a matter of profound public
importance, as it directly implicates the delicate balance of power between state and federal
governments—a true cornerstone of Federalism. States generally maintain authority over their
National Guard units, allowing governors to deploy them for state-specific needs, such as disaster
response or public safety. Federalization of state National Guard units without gubernatorial

A lot going on here, but a religion note: DHS Assistant Sec. Tricia McLaughlin refers to Rev. Black as a "pastor" here — using quotation marks.

It's a notable slight against a faith leader's status, as Black is, in fact, an ordained minister of a church operating within the Presbytery of Chicago.
This footage is from almost a month ago. What this clipped video doesn’t show is that these agitators were blocking an ICE vehicle from leaving the federal facility—impeding operations.

Over and over again, law enforcement ordered these agitators to move off of federal property so the vehicle could move. Law enforcement verbally warned these agitators that they would use force if they did not move and stop impeding operations. They did not comply.

Shortly after, rioters began throwing rocks, bottles and launching fireworks at the law enforcement officers on the roof.

At the time of this incident, this facility held criminal illegal aliens including gang members, drug traffickers, and other violent criminals. Obstructing law enforcement puts officers, detainees and the public at risk. If you are obstructing law enforcement you can expect to be met with force.

And, as an aside, this is the same “pastor” who flipped
@Sec_Noem

Some dispute over journalists "shouting" at protests.

Plaintiff attys bring up a journalist shouting "don't shoot," rather than shouting protest chants.

Govt. atty brings up the issue of presence.

"From our point of view, being at a protest can be construed" as protest activity, he says.

Will Trump be invested in this enough to stay focused on it and keep pressure on Netanyahu past the initial announcement? Or will he get distracted by some other political issue? That’s basically what this boils down to, because Netanyahu is only doing this under extreme pressure.
purplechrain.bsky.social
The thing about these phased peace plans is that the last one was phased too and then Netanyahu restarted the war after the initial rounds of hostage exchanges before the stage that would have required actual peace so…I am going to be holding my breath for a little while before any exhaling.

More history from this Nazi adulated by the Trump team. These are explicit, proud Nazis who scream and cry and call every referee they can find when you quote their Nazism back to them.
Multiple tweets from Nazi Jack Posobiec in 2016 making "jokes" involving the Nazi code "1488."
purplechrain.bsky.social
This is deliberate signalling. Posobiec isn’t just the conspiratorial Pizzagate QAnon guy. He’s the guy who used to regularly 1488-post on Twitter. Trump is having a chat with an Internet Nazi about how antifascists were a dangerous and evil group in 1930s Germany.

The administration’s current approach to “the cartels” is bombing civilians who they accuse of being part of cartels and killing them without any arrest or trial. And Bondi just said that they plan to “take the same approach” with antifa as they did with drug cartels.
