Apples are a big thing between Cora and Seiryu. There's an apple tree on Seiryu's island, and in their delirium it became nearly the only sustenance that Cora had for a week.

Suffice to say they both have developed pavlovian response to it lol.

Excerpt from I'm the Eye of the Storm:

“Eat,” came the next command and Cora obeyed.

He opened his mouth to take a bite, and this time his tongue tasted the real sweetness of the fruit. He chewed the first piece, then dove down for more. Oh heavens, he didn’t realise just how famished he was. Day and night had blurred into a jumbled mess, and he’d lost track of time ever since he’d arrived here. In fact, he wasn’t even sure if time did actually flow on this island. Some parts felt fast, the others felt slow, but the apple in Seiryu’s hand was no illusion, he knew it in his very soul. He took another bite of its white flesh, a much needed sustenance if he wanted to sate the other kind of hunger that was consuming his soul.

His next bite was a little clumsy, and Cora felt the juice from the apple dripped onto his chin. He made a move to wipe the mess, but a forked tongue beat him to it. It swiped across his chin and up to the corner of his lips, making sure to clean every bit of sticky sweetness from his face. Heat flooded his body again and before he could stop himself Cora extended his own tongue, teasing the spot where Seiryu’s blue tongue split in half. A loud hiss and ripples of warmth was his reward. The apple fell onto the tatami mat with a thud but neither of them paid it any mind. Both pairs of hands roamed every ilm of bare skin, each touch stoking the flames that threatened to burn them alive. Cora rutted against Seiryu’s waist, right where the scales give way to smooth skin. The change in friction sent his head to near bursting with ecstasy.

He let his control go and unleashed his ardour upon the room through his Echo.
