His cooking prowess is proportionate to his partners' needs. Seiryu eat things whole so no cooking involved. Tsarra and Eutrope grew up on Turali food and they also have enough money to eat at restaurants everyday. Alerot meanwhile needs to be shown what flavour is so Cora will learn for him!!!

In canon timeline Cora can only cook grill on open fire. Do not ask him to do anything more elaborate, please.

In MechLogs AU Cora did end up learning how to cook a bunch of far eastern food, and also some Eorzean fare so Alerot will stop eating Afchon Loaf lol. He's improving everyday!
