If your “zine” has a massive document full of rules and guidelines and a long list of real marketing and finance positions working on it, its not a zine. Its a job. You are hiring for a book project.

rly fun thing i recommend is playing with picrews. i try to make what i have in mind in one, then that'll spark a slightly diff idea and I'll find a diff picrew... etc etc until I've got a few ideas for the same character. then I'll try drawing them to synthesise all these different images
