Newfoundlander, hybrid townie/bayman, idiot.

Most people would put something witty or profound here. Most people.

PSA: I tend to curse.
AI slop, click-bait, and click-farm junk in my google discover feed just keeps getting worse. That and continuing to show sources/topics I'm not interested in means disabling the media widget altogether. Fuck off.

I do tech shit all day and rarely want to touch it after hours. I gave myself a gold star today for assigning a static IP to my laptop, setting up an SMB file share and accessing from my android phone.

Only those of us of a certain vintage will recognize that reference.

I don't mean to alarm anyone but it's sunny outside and there's *whispers* no wind.

Yeah, the concern is where the leak is. If it's the liner, not too bad, but if it blew out one of the water lines, that will really suck. Especially if it's beneath the concrete decking.

It's a shame there hasn't been some historical event that would have warned us about the dangers of flammable gases.

People have short memories, man.

Noticed a 2-foot drop in our pool. This is worrisome as it either means the weight of the snow blew a hole out the bottom or pushed water back through the outlet lines. I had lowered the water level by 2 feet prior to closing it for the winter but we've had so much fucking rain and snow.

I honestly can't think of many countries who don't feel the same way.

I'll be using the phrase more often now and thinking of this every time I do.

Cleared the driveway yesterday at lunchtime and again after supper. Will need to do it again today. I'm glad I did those first 2 times. Is it spring yet? 😭

Just fuck off already.

Lots of power outages due to "Severe weather conditions." More like "We don't want to spend money on tree trimming, so fuck the lot of you."
February 3, 2026 at 12:44 AM
Can we send all of the tech bros up there as well?
February 3, 2026 at 12:11 AM
Yes, all good, thankfully!

It's 2026 and some of you still don't understand how to use BCC and reply-all. Jesus.

Snow is heavy. Ugh.

Yes, it's hard to believe that not learning how to do something affects your ability to do it.
