This is a great movie to watch with your family while you eat Thanksgiving dinner.

this guy sounds smart we should all listen to him
"I think you're going to see an explosion over the next few years of interesting, sophisticated storytellers trying things that we haven't seen before."

@nebula.tv founder and CEO @dwisk.us assesses the future of the creator economy.

Two movies I’ve seen that are coming soon and you should absolutely watch:

• Eternity — Fun, charming, and clever. Challengers meets The Good Place. I was very pleasantly surprised.

• No Other Choice — The absurd desperation of Squid Game meets the desperate absurdity of Burn After Reading.
I love awards season because I get to go to a bunch of early screenings of movies where the audience is full of well-behaved adults.

While a few major sponsors have pulled back or completely cut their YouTube sponsorship spend, we’re actively looking to spend more.

If you’re a medium to large creator (500k average views or higher), we’d love to hear from you.

"If you're trusting the social media platform to decide what your kids should watch, you may not be taking an active enough role in your child's development," says @dwisk.us.

"And to simply ask Mark Zuckerberg to decide what's best for your kids is insane to me."

"There's a reason Hollywood doesn't bring in no-name writers, no-name directors, and no-name actors to lead a $30 million movie. You need stars to put butts in seats."

"And then on the other side of the canyon is the creator economy."

Earlier today I texted Miriam Shor because I saw her on Pluribus.

Tonight she texted me because she saw me on Firing Line.

This is the most delightful thing that’s ever happened to me.

Over on Twitter someone replied to this post calling me a republican, in case you were wondering how things were going on that side
“It used to be that if you want to publish a newspaper, you had to have a whole publishing company,” says @nebula.tv CEO @dwisk.us.

“Now, a college student can wake up in the morning with an idea and make a video, publish it on YouTube.”

Should the gatekeepers of media be nervous?

“Extremely.”

At the Abolish finale last night, people kept telling me how great Nebula staff are. Then it happened again several times at tonight’s The Dinner Plan premiere.

Fuck yeah, man. What a wonderful thing to say. Goddamned right they are.

I struggle to imagine a better compliment.

PBS asked for photos of me with creators so I'm looking for the most unserious pictures I have and I found one of me and @patrickhwillems.bsky.social and MrBeast at an Outback Steakhouse

I went into a fugue state ranting about creators taking over media and when I came to my senses I was on PBS
“There's a presumption that we are dilettantes, that we're pretending to be media players, that we are children," says @nebula.tv founder and CEO @dwisk.us of the creator economy.

"I think that that is changing."

@nebula.tv HECK YEAH THIS IS WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT RIGHT HERE. An occasional roadmap to what and who is new on Nebula makes discovery so much better than guessing at thumbnails (or on hard mode, channel icons) in the app.

At Nebula one of the questions we get most often is "why is your logo an upside down star" and this is kind of a fun story we actually started with a regular star and then rotated it 180 degrees clockwise
