Decided to upgrade my PC for the new year, and a day after I bought everything, the parts went up by £50 in total. No sales, just prices going up.
All because of data centres, and prices will keep going up.

I'm about 50 hours in to Xenoblade Chronicles and I'm really conflicted.
Great characters, music, environments, and gameplay, but the plot's been super predictable and frustrating at certain points. Without spoiling it, I feel almost punished for paying attention 😂

Loved this trilogy, and all 3 of them for less than a tenner is a steal!
Also, more games should do what Shadow of the Tomb Raider did with its difficulty selection - you can set combat, exploration, and puzzles individually. Goodbye random paint everywhere and Lara telling me puzzle solutions! 😂

I beat Silksong last night.
The difficulty curve is like running into a brick wall and it NEVER lets up. It feels like luck rather than skill - a boss isn't doing a particular attack or summoning other enemies as often, for example, and that's what's getting me through the fight.
Disappointed.

I'm about 10 hours in to Xenoblade Chronicles, and god damn, what took me so long to play this!?
Combat took some getting used to, but I'm enjoying it. And the story's great so far!
But that soundtrack, holy shit. You Will Know Our Names might be my favourite battle theme ever 😍

I'm happy to see Final Fantasy Tactics come back, so more people get to play it...
But it ain't worth £50.
Maybe if they gave it the HD-2D treatment (which I'm surprised they didn't, given how good Triangle Strategy looks), but the old game upscaled with voice acting and some QoL stuff? Nah.

Glad to see Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is reviewing well. Definitely feels like the closest thing we're gonna get to Lost Odyssey any time soon!
If only Square Enix saw games like this, Persona, Metaphor, etc. and realized turn-based RPGs are actually a great idea! 😜
