you have to beat silent hill f three times for the real ending and I love that but I absolutely understand people who don't.

that being said. it is an incredibly effective ending.

yeah I love that also it's canon on a level there's White Claudia and PTV all over the place. mm mm good, that's my stuff. however! the ways in which this echoes Silent Hill 2 by being an INTENSELY personal character study have been under-discussed!!!!!!!

the way silent hill f deals with rituals and customs and the way they are used to enforce societal norms, the way you reproduce those rituals through gameplay to proceed. it is the only way to get through, isn't it?

the politics of the film are unclear in that way--I think the film is, if anything, centrist. any movement that wants radical change is suspect, a cover for Sinister Forces (that happen to come vaguely from the East).
