point being this is not gala clothing. it's common clothing, but people were aware of the fashions and trends happening around them and would definitely go into debt to look good. i've read multiple stories about men that essentially went into debt to tailors. same as it ever was

this is clothing of the second half of the 19th century. might say daily wear except for the waistcoat which has a beautiful patterned fabric and buttons. the bluson was worn on top to protect the clothes like a lightweight shell jacket or under the faja

in the 1700s up through the 1800s, sewing/knitting stockings, gaiters, hats was something that was done at home by both men and women. of course nowadays people can get very luxurious with the patterns and colors

in spain at least there was a kind of gaiter stocking that was commonplace which ended in a stirrup with a free heel and toe. it was worn to protect the shins while working. In the winter they'd wear a wool half stocking or sock over this gaiter to cover the foot and keep warm

gazpacho manchego, which despite the name, is different than the summer cold soup. dried torta, diced red and green pepper, diced onion, whole garlic cloves, oyster/button mushrooms, diced tomato, sweet paprika fried in olive oil and then simmered in vegetable broth to make a thick hearty stew
originally was a meal made by shepherds of La Mancha, where meat scraps (typically rabbit or quail) vegetables, onions and garlic were stewed together then poured on stale flatbread. These days the torta is added into the stew and cooked together with it
