Interesting case of security cooperation between China and the UK
“…has involved the police and Chinese law enforcement teams, said Will Lyne, the Met's Head of Economic and Cybercrime Command.”
The same happened in the case on Indian companies and Chabahar Port. The Indian government wanted to develop the port as counter to Gwadar port but sanctions on Iran had kept Indian companies away
Surprised Guancha didn’t beat GT first
They are more than welcome to Gwadar port in Pakistan currently under COPHC. It will be a very long term project
First Iran and now Israel, Qatar really has a problem with their friends
Fascinating!
“Sandvine quit Pakistan in 2023 amid growing scrutiny of its work there, and was quickly replaced by Geedge, which the documents show apparently utilizing existing Sandvine installations as well as providing new technology…”
As part of a consortium of researchers and journalists, I spent the better part of a year digging into leaked documents from Chinese security company Geedge, which plays a pivotal role exporting the Great Firewall around the world: www.theglobeandmail.com/gift/15c699a...
Leaked files show a Chinese company is exporting the Great Firewall’s censorship technology
Geedge Networks is providing censorship capabilities to foreign governments, including those in Myanmar, Pakistan, Ethiopia and Kazakhstan

The Afghan interim government also keeps talking about building a road to China in the Wakhan corridor. Wonder if it will remain a dream or see reality
There is always the ‘blanket problem’, cover the feet and the head gets exposed and vice versa!

Fascinating information
“In particular, the authors highlight the need to “fully mobilize maritime militia and civilian fishing vessels” (充分发动海上民兵、地方渔船), without describing their specific roles in this endeavor.”
