The Guardian didn't end up using some of the most interesting photos for the article, but I'll share them here with credit to Rupert Allen.

Think he's angry that Farage has chosen today to hit the Caerphilly campaign...

‘So, Mr Candy / Tice / Farage, what values attracted you to the low-tax, oil-rich regimes of the Persian Gulf?’

Party donor Nick Candy says "I cherish the values we grew up with here in the West. But today you are more likely to find the values we grew up with in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.’

Ah!! I met one of the organisers at the Wild Summit in Bristol but unfortunately can't make it tonight. I'll be keeping a close eye.

It must be the duty of ALL of our public bodies, not to 'have regard' for, but to genuinely further the essential purposes of our National Parks.

The Wellbeing of Future Generations Act is helpful but it is neither specific enough here nor does it apply to all public bodies.

I'd like to make my own plea to those who are currently writing up their manifestos and electoral strategies, to consider the strength of feeling around the need to protect and conserve our landscapes.

As a Welshman though, I have to say: those additional protections we're fighting to protect in England are not in place in my country where public bodies must simply “have regard to the purposes” of National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

It's not good enough. 🏴❌
ebenmyrddin.bsky.social
It's an utter disgrace that this government are allegedly trying to weaken the protections of our National Parks. ⚠️

I stand with the 202 organisations and sector leaders who have signed the @campaign4parks.bsky.social open letter pleading that they retain those protections.

By integrating sharia law into our legal system? Not bothering with democracy?

We must emulate the United Arab Emirates, apparently.

Where to even start...?

It sure is lucky that all animals exist in some sort of silo and not in some sort of inter connected system which also includes animals which are “big”

2030s are going to feature our very own 1930s dustbowl. Huzzah!

First of all, 5mm isn't microscopic and you CAN see them.

Second of all, the fact that our Chancellor thinks she can't see these seems to mean she thinks they're not worthy of our consideration.

A hallmark of this government's terminal lack of imagination.

Sorry I misread your reply with my previous reply! Agree!

This is a deeply entitled and silly article. It's also the wrong approach if what Plaid wants is concessions from the Greens.

Unfortunately Wales stupid new electoral system deeply disincentives strategic alliances like the one proposed here. So what can Plaid offer the Greens going forward?

If you're not Welsh and you're wondering why this winds us up so much it's because it's £445m spread over 10 years, and we're still owed £4bn for those HS2 Barnett consequentials that must have got lost in the post.

I really wonder if London Labour are prepared to lose Wales to reform or Plaid.

The fact that Rachel Reeves told the Labour Conference Welsh night how lucky they all were for all that extra train money we've received is sending me 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂

The disconnect is real, and if I were a Welsh Labour candidate, staff member or politician I'd be fucking fuming at the moment

Dad’s books are full of empathy, common sense, and a healthy suspicion of the powerful. But at its heart his work is also about how systems keep people poor while pretending it’s their own fault. So I hope Kemi’s taking notes as well as reading the jokes.
