Good God. Anybody who didn't see this coming hasn't been paying attention. It's time for Americans to stand up to fascism.

You can remove as many exhibits as you want. That doesn't change the fact that slavery is a fact of American history. In fact, you cannot understand American history without understanding the institution of slavery.

Park staff dismantled an exhibit about George Washington’s slave ownership amid a wider push to remove information on racism, sexism and climate change.

Yet the villains are rarely, if ever, punished these days
All of my political views and policy ideas have basically collapsed to "Punish the Villains" and I mumble it to myself every time I see a news article these days

Of course the same can be said for the hundreds of public appearances he has made before this morning
No one can be watching this Davos speech and reach any conclusion but that the President of the United States is mentally disturbed and that something is deeply wrong with him. This is both embarrassing and extremely dangerous.

This analysis is interesting because it tries to explain the actions of a madman as if he actually had some sort of plan beyond pure impulse

Republicans are genuflecting to the dictator.
Big Tech is bribing.
Mainstream journalists are normalizing.
Some law firms and colleges are capitulating.
Too many Democrats (such as Schumer) are pretending it's 1996.
It's up to us, as citizens, to defeat fascism. Let's get busy now, while we can.

It's not debatable that a mentally disturbed person has the nuclear codes. The Republicans know they're endangering us all by leaving him in office. This is a betrayal of every person on Earth. It is a crime against humanity.

I have never visited a place as powerful as the Legacy Museum in Montgomery. Every American should go.
In December, I traveled to Montgomery to visit the Legacy Museum, which traces the story of Black America from slavery to Jim Crow to mass incarceration. I wanted to understand how the museum & its affiliated sites were operating in a moment where so much of the history they present is under attack.
