@rickedwards1.bsky.social @rachelburden.bsky.social And my torn ACL was painless, no problem skiing -- only excrutiatingly painful at the time I did it (judo competition) -- and really painful when half-dislocating my knee on a regular basis

@rickedwards1.bsky.social @rachelburden.bsky.social I've skied with a torn ACL, weeks before repair surgery. It couldn't really have gotten any worse - risk of dislocation, but so there was when sitting down in a chair. Craziest Olympian is that GB woman in the Paris marathon with a broken leg!

Baffled, I explored the bag and discovered AN ENTIRE POTATO. Unsliced, brined, like a wad of seasoning juice. It had survived, and now was juicing the chips.

@rickedwards1.bsky.social RE: 96 mins. Strategy for your tiebreaker - films are mostly 90-100 mins - what Mitch needed to do was find the best zone of doubt for his opponent, most uncertainty - and that's in the mind-90s. I picked 97; I didn't guess 97.
