The timing, the spectacle, and the motives behind this are all too obvious. What we are witnessing is not justice. It is a weaponization of the justice system. It is a political hit job disguised as legal process, and it represents a direct threat to anyone who has the courage to stand up to power.

Once again we see the law being bent, not to enforce justice but to exact retribution. Letitia James, the Attorney General who stood up to Donald Trump and won, is now being hauled into court herself.
