Repostober, Day 10 - Mica Leaf Artwork

I spent a few years obsessed with this technique, pressing leaves into thinly rolled clay and coloring them with mica powder. Spring was "Sparkle Season," and any work caught in the crossfire shone, too.

Repostober Catch-up, Day 9 - Dragon Mountain

Here's another I'd like to revisit with my current skill set to see if I can do a better job conveying the scale of the dragon; I'd like him to look more mountainous, with just a bit of his back above the treeline.

More music boxes - I was a collector as a kid, and obsessed with making them as an adult. Adding movement is difficult - this one, a bottom-wind, is one of the simpler methods for rotation.

Repostober 6 - Accuracy

Not strictly a piece of art, but this particular "T-Rex" cookie cutter upset me so much that I spent a whole day bending it into something less offensive. Never even used it.

A metal cookie cuter that is dinosaur-shaped in only the loosest sense of the word. I think it was supposed to be a T. Rex.

The same cutter, bent into a more accurate but still tenuous T. Rex shape.

Repostober Day 5 - Boggle Music Box

Perhaps the best example of my "overkill mode", where I made clay mice, painted and decoupaged a wooden box to look like a Boggle game, made custom dice, bulk purchased sand timers, AND added a mechanism with music from The Fantasticks.
