It’s amazing to reflect on how ubiquitous in the culture those 90s Disney movies were in their heyday. Even a big success like Kpop Demon Hunters probably gets to, what, 30% the cultural reach of what an Aladdin did.

Great article. Another show that deserves praise in this same vein is “Somebody Somewhere.” That show was spot-on in its portrayal of how even small towns in middle America have all kinds of people, and they all contain multitudes.
