From what was explained to me, it’s basically dolls with a « gacha » element. You buy a box and you don’t know which doll or variant you’re getting. Some of them are more « rare » and valuable… Or some shit 😅

Not the biggest capitalism fan but I still really enjoy economic boardgames somehow? The money's fake so it's cool

Age of Steam, a game about building railroad networks to transport goods cubes to their matching colored city spaces. The payout from shipments funds more track, trains that can move further, and increased chances to play first.

In Container, players use their factories to produce goods for other players to buy. This means they have to price their goods competitively to keep their own shipments to the main island consistent. This game has such an interesting mechanic to me!

Power Grid is a classic economic eurogame, and was my first experience with the genre. Each player is operating a power company attempting to get their power stations in as many cities as possible, the players auctioning their revenue to purchase more powerful power plants.

My go-to in this genre because of its ease of rules explanation, Chicago Express is one of my favorite boardgames.
Four rail companies are making their way across the Midwest to Chicago, and the players are buying shares to control each companies' operation. Multiple players can be in control of one company, which leads to some really great player interaction. Absolutely recommended (also please play this with me on tabletopsim)

Auric is a big nostalgic for his own work as an actor in old kaiju movies. There is a whole room full of memorablia and a pristine VHS collection of his movies. Cozy snuggles if you accept his invitation to watch a couple tapes at his place ;)
