Sadly I didn’t catch a glimpse of The Spoonbill but I did see a rare bird and a new one for me that was a Marsh Sandpiper. My results were

Curlew
Mallard
Mute Swan
Graylag Goose
Teal
Wigeon
Little Egret
Heron

More Graylag Feese on the next hide in this one I can also see Little Egret & Heron.

Checking out the new scrapes at the new hides can see Malard, Mute Swan, Graylag Geese & Curlew.

Wondering over to the new hides now.

Seen something much rarer a Marsh Sandpiper. Lots of Birders here to see it.

No sign of the Spoonbill yet but scanning the old scapes were it has been sighted. There are lots of Lapwings around and Shoveler.

Arrived at destination taking my time here in hopes to find the bird in here to see The Spoonbill.

Made a friend whilst I was having my lunch. Don’t worry it didn’t get any scraps.

It’s been ages since I have been twitching for a rare bird. On my way to Musselburgh to see The Spoonbill who has been named by Birders on a local group I’m on The Musselburgh Spoonbill. I am feeling hopeful I will get a sighting I’m going to take my time as it’s a bird I have never seen before.

Last time I went Twitching for a bird was The Mandarin Duck & Ring Necked Duck when they were spotted at Blackford.

Tomorrow I’m heading to Musselburgh Twitching for a rare bird that you will never expect to see there. I have seen on social media birders have been successful seeing it . It is a bird I have never seen before so I’m very excited about this one. The clue is the silhouette on what the bird is.
